An authentication file is preinstalled in Branch Gateway. You can update it if needed. Check the authentication file version using the show auth-file info function. Branch Gateway firmware versions 6.x and 7.0.0 use 6.x authentication files.

Branch Gateway authentication file is not used in Release 7.1.2 and later.

When FIPS mode is enabled, you cannot log in with the Services access level using the authentication file.
