Wall mounting requirements

To mount Branch Gateway on a wall, use two wall mounting brackets You can also use an additional mounting bracket with cable guides.

You must fasten the Branch Gateway to a plywood board. If the wall does not have a portion of plywood available, mount a plywood sheet, at least ¾ in. (2.0 cm) thick and 4 x 4 ft (1.2 x 1.2 m) in size, horizontally onto the wall. Use a minimum of four wood screws and ensure the screws are driven into wall studs, or use four wall anchors rated with a shear strength of more than 50 lb (22.5 kg) each. To secure the Branch Gateway to the plywood, use a minimum of four pan head screws of 3/4 inch. Ensure you have the plywood and mounting equipment hardware.

Caution:

If you install Branch Gateway in the United States of America:

  • Do not attach the AC power supply cord to the building wall with wire staples, clamps, and other fasteners.

  • You must install Branch Gateway near the AC receptacle (socket outlet) that services Branch Gateway.

  • You must install the AC power supply cord in a way that minimizes the risk of physical damage to the cord. The cord must not be hanging down to the floor, or routed in any way that can lead to its damage.
