From the SIP Tracer Configuration page, you can configure tracing properties for one or more security modules. You can view the output of the SIP Tracer on the System Manager web console. Session Manager overwrites the existing Tracer configuration when Session Manager receives a new Tracer configuration. Enabling SIP traces from the SIP Tracer Configuration page invokes traceSM in the background.

The SIP Tracer Configuration page contains the following sections:

• Tracer Configuration: Attributes that control the basic functionality of the SIP Message tracer. You can enable or disable the attributes.

• User Filter: Filters messages based on the sending user, receiving user, or both.

• Call Filter: Filters messages based on the sending Call ID, receiving Call ID, or both.

• Session Manager Instances: The administered Session Manager instances on which to apply the filters.
