Avaya WebSocket Tunnel (AWTUN) bridges socket connections through a WebSocket. You can manage the connections between a client and a server from a centralized point.
To streamline the connections, deploy AWTUN in the following modes:
Client mode: The AWTUN client runs on Branch Session Manager and Local Survivable Processor (LSP) or Survivable Remote Server (SRS). AWTUN client creates a secure WebSocket connection to an HTTP reverse proxy running on Avaya Enterprise Cloud™. The HTTP reverse proxy routes the WebSocket connection to the core server using the WebSocket URL.
Server mode: The AWTUN server runs on System Manager and Main Communication Manager. AWTUN server receives the incoming WebSocket connections from the AWTUN client. AWTUN Server mode automatically runs on System Manager when edge mode is enabled on a Branch Survivable Processor.
