Changing the security module IP address

Before you begin
Get web login access to the System Manager that is managing the Avaya Breeze® platform server.
Caution:
The security module IP address must be on the same subnet as the Avaya Breeze® platform cluster IP address in support of HTTP Load Balancing, if applicable.
Note:
If you are using Session Manager Local Host Name Resolution for SIP Load Balancing or High Availability, ensure that the entry for the corresponding Avaya Breeze® platform security module IP address has been updated with the changes.
  1. Change the state of the target Avaya Breeze® platform server to Deny New Service.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    For more information on changing the state of a cluster, see Administering Avaya Breeze® platform.
  2. Remove the target Avaya Breeze® platform server from the associated cluster.
  3. If you want to relocate the server, do the following:
    1. Power off the server.

      Note:
      Verify that all the services are removed from the server before you power off the server.
    2. Relocate the server.
    3. Power up the server.
  4. To change the security module address of the Avaya Breeze® platform server, on the System Manager web console, click ElementsRoutingSIP Entities.
  5. Select the appropriate Avaya Breeze® platform entity and click Edit.
  6. In the FQDN or IP Address field, type the new IP address of the security module.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    Note:
    This IP address is not the management address.
  7. Click Commit.
  8. To update the security module information, on the System Manager web console, click ElementsAvaya BreezeServer Administration.
  9. Select the Avaya Breeze® platform server and click Edit.
  10. Edit parameters, such as Default Gateway and QoS, for the security module.
  11. Click Commit.
  12. Make the appropriate changes to the DNS server for Avaya Breeze® platform, if required.
  13. On the Avaya Breeze® platform Server Administration page, ensure that the Status of the Avaya Breeze® platform Security Module is up.
  14. Add the Avaya Breeze® platform server back to the cluster.
  15. Click System Tools and MonitoringMaintenance Tests.
  16. In the Select Target field, select the Avaya Breeze® platform server.
  17. Click Execute All Tests.
  18. Click Avaya BreezeServer Administration.
  19. Ensure that the Service Install Status of the Avaya Breeze® platform server displays a green check mark. Else, wait till all the snap-ins are installed before proceeding.
  20. Change the state of the Avaya Breeze® platform server to Accept New Service.
  21. On the Confirmation page, click Confirm.
