Use the following procedure to upgrade the Avaya Solutions Platform 130 Appliance (ASP130) from Release 4.0 (ESXi 6.5, Update 3) to Release 5.x (ESXi 7.x) that has Avaya Breeze® platform Release 3.9.x installed.

1.

Plan when to perform the Avaya Solutions Platform upgrade.
|
A full maintenance window is required to complete this upgrade of the ASP130.
|

|
2.
|
Back up the cluster database.
|
|
|
|
3.
|
Set the Breeze cluster or nodes affected to deny new services and gracefully power off each node.
|
|
|
|
4.
|
Upgrade the ASP130.
|
For the ASP130 servers, Avaya provides ESXi upgrade files and instructions which you must use. Refer to the Avaya Solutions Platform files and documentation available from https://support.avaya.com.

|
5.
|
Power on the Breeze nodes and confirm their condition.
|
Power on each node using the vSphere Web Client.
|
|
|
6.
|
Reboot the Breeze cluster
|
Some solutions require a cluster reboot after all Breeze nodes are back online. Consult the solution documentation for more information.
|
|
|
7.
|
Set the nodes back to accept new service.
|
|
|
|
8.
|
(Optional) If the Breeze virtual machine is not up and running.
|
Perform a fresh deployment of Avaya Breeze® platform, using the same version as installed before the Avaya Solutions Platform 130 Appliance upgrade.
After Breeze initializes and completes replication:

Restore any required System Manager signed or third-party certificates.
