Accepting new service after ESXi maintenance

Last Updated : Sep 18, 2023 |
After moving a node or nodes back to their original ESXi host following the hosts maintenance or upgrade, you need to set the nodes back to accepting new services.
  • If only doing maintenance on one ESXi host:
Set the node(s) back to accept new service.
  • If doing maintenance on multiple ESXi hosts:
If required by the solution, keep the cluster in deny new service until you have completed maintenance on all ESXi hosts.
  1. Set the Breeze node back into service:
    • If all the nodes hosted on the ESXi server are in the same cluster:
      1. In System Manager, click ElementsAvaya BreezeCluster Administration.
      2. Select the cluster.
      3. From the Cluster State drop-down menu, select Accept New Service.
      4. Verify that the Cluster State column for the cluster changes to Accepting.
    • For individual Breeze nodes hosted on the ESXi server:
      1. In System Manager, click ElementsAvaya BreezeServer Administration.
      2. Click the checkbox in front of the server.
      3. From the System State drop-down menu, select Accept New Service.
      4. Verify that the System State column for the server changes to Accepting.
