Troubleshooting Reliable Eventing maintenance test failures

Prolog information

Condition

The Reliable Eventing broker group cannot deliver maintenance test events.

Solution

  1. In System Manager, click ElementsAvaya Breeze®.
  2. In the navigation pane, click System Tools And Monitoring Maintenance Tests.
  3. From the Select Avaya Breeze to test drop-down list, select the affected Avaya Breeze® platform instance.
  4. Select Test Reliable Eventing Framework.
  5. Click Execute Selected Tests.
    STEP RESULT:
    If the test passes, clear the alarm. The problem no longer exists and you do not need to continue with this procedure.
    If the test fails, continue with this procedure and perform the following steps.
  6. Go to Server Administration page and verify the following on the affected Avaya Breeze® platform node:
    1. The Security Module is Up.
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
      If the Security Module is not Up, then do the following:
      1. Establish an SSH connection to the Avaya Breeze® platform instance using either the craft login (Avaya) or an established customer login.
      2. Run the statapp command to verify the status of secmod.
      3. If secmod is not in service, restart the Avaya Breeze® platform server using Shutdown SystemReboot on the Avaya Breeze® platformServer Administration page.
    2. The System State is Accepting.
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
      If the System State is not Accepting, then move the node to Accept New State from the System State drop-down list.
  7. Click Reliable Eventing AdministrationDashboard .
  8. Click Show Details on each of the Reliable Eventing groups to locate the affected Avaya Breeze® platform node.
  9. Once you locate the Reliable Eventing group, click the Status icon and examine the broker status in detail.
  10. Check the network connection between the affected Avaya Breeze® platform node and the Reliable Eventing broker.
  11. If the problem persists, contact Avaya Support: https://support.avaya.com.
