Avaya Breeze® platform does not send alarms to System Manager

Condition

Avaya Breeze® platform does not send alarms to System Manager. Attempts to generate a test alarm from System Manager to Avaya Breeze® platform fail to display the Indeterminate test alarm.

Cause

The Avaya Breeze® platform Serviceability Agents in System Manager might not have a target profile assigned.

Solution

  1. In System Manager, click Services InventoryManage Serviceability AgentsServiceability Agents.
  2. In the Agents List section, verify that all Avaya Breeze® platform servers are active.
  3. Select the Avaya Breeze® platform servers, and click Manage Profiles.
  4. Click the SNMP Target Profiles tab.
  5. In the Assignable Profiles section, select the target profiles to assign.
  6. Click Assign.
  7. Click Commit to assign the profiles to the Avaya Breeze® platform servers.
  8. Generate test alarms for all Avaya Breeze® platform servers to verify that Avaya Breeze® platform servers send alarms to System Manager.
  9. Verify that the test alarms are generated in System Manager.
  10. Do the following to clear the alarms:
    1. Log in to the Avaya Breeze® platform instance as an administrative user.
    2. Run the following command: generateTestAlarmCE.sh -c
  11. On the System Manager web console, verify that the status of the alarms changed to Cleared.
