During the initial boot-up, the phone prompts the user to choose Device Enrollment Services for automatic phone provisioning. The phone displays the Do you want to activate Auto Provisioning now? screen for 60 seconds before the screen timeout.
Users can choose from the following options:

Yes: Indicates that the phone should use Device Enrollment Services to discover the provisioning server.
The phone connects to Device Enrollment Services and obtains the provisioning server URL. The phone then connects to the provisioning server and downloads the configuration settings. If the phone cannot connect to the provisioning server, the user can manually enter the provisioning server URL.
If the phone can connect to Device Enrollment Services but is not assigned a configuration server, the user can enter the numeric enrollment code or manually enter the provisioning server URL. The numeric enrollment code is an 8-digit or a 12-digit numeric code defined in Device Enrollment Services.
When the user enters the numeric enrollment code, the phone connects to Device Enrollment Services to obtain the provisioning server URL and downloads the settings from the provisioning server.

No: Indicates that the phone should not use Device Enrollment Services. The phone can discover the configuration server using DHCP SSON, LLDP, or the phone administration menu. If the phone fails to discover the configuration server, the user can manually enter the provisioning server details.

Timeout: After 60 seconds, if the user does not press Yes or No, the phone attempts to discover the provisioning server URL using DHCP SSON or LLDP. If the phone fails to discover the provisioning server, the phone redirects to Device Enrollment Services to get the provisioning server URL.
