Users can lock the phone to prevent unauthorized access. The phone unlock PIN factors a combination of configuration scenarios.

Single sign-on (SSO): For SSO-enabled phones, only user-defined PIN can unlock the phone. Set the minimum PIN length, the PIN expiration duration, and the number of days to start the PIN expiration reminder. Users can change the PIN and recoved it if the PIN expires or if they forgot it.

For phones that do not use SSO, you can set a PIN.
When SSO is inactive, you can set a PIN for the user to unlock the phone. The user can use the PIN they set or you set to unlock the phone. You can limit the number of failed attempts to unlock the phone. After the user exceeds the set limit, you can temporarily block the user from unlocking the phone. You can set the duration for which the users are temporarily blocked.
You can use one of the following to set the PIN, the limit on the failed attempts, and the time for blocking the user:
If SSO is inactive and you do not set a PIN, the user can use the SIP password to unlock the phone. Even if you use the default password, you can set the limit on the number of failed attempts and the duration to block the user temporarily.
Locking the phone does not log out the user. The user can make emergency calls and receive calls. The user can lock the phone from the phone menu.
