Prolog information
With the Call Park feature, users can put an active call on hold from their extension and retrieve the call from another extension. You must activate Call Park for the extensions to park the call and Call Unpark to unpark the call. You can activate Call Park and Call Unpark on Avaya Aura® Communication Manager.
Avaya J100 SIP IP Phones support the following two types of call parking:
  • Park call: A user can park a call against their extension or at a parking lot extension. When a user parks a call, the green LED on the Call Park feature button turns on. The green LED stays on until the call is unparked or returned.
  • Group Call Park: You can define Call Park groups, where each group member can park a call to an extension within the group, and any group member can unpark the call.

Parking lot

A parking lot is a series of extensions to park calls. You can optionally configure a parking lot as a call parking destination, if the call server supports parking lots. Users can dial the parking lot extension number for the parked call to retrieve the call. When you configure a parking lot, the green LED turns on for a few seconds, but does not indicate the parked call status.

Parking lot display time

Configure Parking lot display time for the phones to display the parked call extension number for a specific duration. The extension that parks the call to a parking lot displays the parking lot extension number on the feature button.
