Simultaneous registration

The phones can simultaneously register with multiple proxies. Simultaneous registration enables quick and deterministic redundancy. When configuring the phones for redundancy with Avaya Aura®, set the SIPREGPROXYPOLICY parameter to Simultaneous. When the phone registers to a SIP proxy for the first time, the SIPREGPROXYPOLICY parameter forces simultaneous registration to multiple proxies. Use the SIMULTANEOUS_REGISTRATIONS parameter to specify the number of simultaneous proxies.
The phone supports up to five proxies for simultaneous registration.
Note:
All Session Manager and Branch Session Manager instances support simultaneous registration. Non-Avaya Aura® proxies do not support simultaneous registration. For example, if your configuration is two Session Manager instances and a non-Avaya Aura® proxy, set the value of SIMULTANEOUS_REGISTRATIONS to 2.
