You can configure an HTTP or HTTPS file server. You can use the provisioning server to download and store phone distribution packages and settings files.
Install the HTTP or HTTPS server software according to the vendor’s instructions.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The device must trust the HTTPS server for the Avaya J100 Series IP Phones to connect to an HTTPS server. The phone must have the root CA of the HTTPS server available to validate the HTTPS Server. By default the Avaya J100 Series IP Phones support many well-known public CA certificates. See ENABLE_PUBLIC_CA_CERTS in the Appendix section.
Alternatively, if your provisioning server does not support a well-known public CA, the Avaya J100 Series IP Phones can be configured to obtain additional certificates. See TRUSTCERTS in the Appendix section.
Download the software distribution package and the 46xxsettings.txt file.
Extract the distribution package, and save the extracted files and the 46xxsettings.txt file on the provisioning server.
