Capturing Live Logs of the phone using web interface

Live Logs provide access to the real-time activity of the J100 phone through the web interface. With this enhancement, you can monitor device activity without requiring a physical phone connection or authentication procedures. The Live Logs are shown in a new browser window after pressing the Start button.
The benefit of Live Logs is to access real-time logs remotely. You can Start and Stop logs at your discretion and subsequently review and analyze the logs on your systems. Live Logs on your system are downloadable and can be stored locally for future reference.
The downloaded log file format is <extension><device model><MAC address><timestamp><LiveLogs>.txt.
  1. Log in to the web interface.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Debugging.
  3. Scroll to the Live Logs section.
  4. Press Start.
    STEP RESULT:
    The new browser window pops up with standard window controls, including options to minimize, maximize, and close the window on your computer.
    To prevent window overflow, an automatic scroll-down feature is in place. This feature continues until you manually scroll upward. After you manually scroll to the end, auto scroll-down reactivates when you return to the bottom. This approach does not require constant manual scrolling.
  5. Press Stop to end the log capture.
    STEP RESULT:
    Live Logs capture stops. However, the browser with the captured logs does not close. Logs captured until the Stop button is pressed are visible, but no new logs are generated.
    While you are capturing the logs, there can be the following scenarios:
    • If the Live Logs browser window is closed without pressing the Stop button, the Live Logs ceases.
    • While Live Logs is captured, you can navigate to different pages of the web interface and perform various operations.
    • If Live Logs is active and you press the Start button, an alert message is displayed, and the Live Logs window is closed to prevent redundancy.
    • If the Live Logs is running and there is no activity on the web interface for a duration exceeding the session timeout value, the Live Logs stop. However, the window displaying generated logs remains open.
    • If the Live Logs is in progress and the web interface window is closed, the Live Logs terminates. However, the window showing the generated logs is not closed.
    • If Live Logs is initiated after the session has timed out, a session timeout alert is presented. Subsequently, the Live Logs window closes, and you are directed to the login page.
    • When Live Logs is in progress and device is rebooted, the Live Logs stops and the device goes for reboot. Generated logs window does not close.
