Before you begin
Ensure that configurations are done for SIP trunking between Session Manager and the carrier.
Session recording is a critical requirement for some businesses. Use this procedure to set up session recording by using SIPREC.
  1. Log in to the EMS web interface with administrator credentials.
  2. From the Device menu, click the SBC name to administer.
  3. Navigate to ServicesSIP Servers.
  4. Click Add.
    STEP RESULT:
    The system displays the Add Server Configuration Profile window.
  5. Enter a name for the recording server.
  6. Click Next.
    STEP RESULT:
    The system displays the Edit SIP Server Profile - General window.
  7. Administer the following options:
    • In the Server Type field, click Recording Server.
    • The SIP Domain field is optional, but you can enter the name of the enterprise side domain.
    • In the TLS Client Profile field, select the TLS client profile created for the recorder.
    • In the IP Address/FQDN field, type the IP address of the recording server.
    • In the Port field, type the port number.
    • In the Transport field, select a transport protocol.
  8. Click Add to add more IP addresses or FQDNs to the profile.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  9. Click Next.
    STEP RESULT:
    The system displays the Add Server Configuration Profile - Heartbeat window.
  10. Enable heartbeat for load balancing solutions. No other options are required..
  11. Click Next.
    STEP RESULT:
    The system displays the Add SIP Server Profile - Registration window. No option settings are required.
  12. Click Next.
    STEP RESULT:
    The system displays the Add SIP Server Profile - Ping window. No option settings are required.
  13. Click Next.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    The system displays the Add Server Configuration - Advanced window.
  14. Ensure that the Enable Grooming check box is selected.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    Important:
    For a recording server, the system selects the Enable Grooming field by default. Do not clear the Enable Grooming check box.
  15. To select the interworking profile, perform one of the following actions:
    • In the Interworking Profile field, click the avaya-ru profile.
      The avaya-ru profile is the default interworking profile.
    • Clone the default avaya-ru interworking profile and select the cloned interworking profile.
  16. If the Transport type is TLS, select the appropriate TLS client profile.
  17. Click Finish.
