Creating a new session policy for the Recording Server

Prolog information
  1. Log in to the EMS web interface with administrator credentials.
  2. From the Device menu, click the SBC name to administer.
  3. Navigate to Domain PoliciesSession Policies.
    STEP RESULT:
    The application pane displays the existing session policies, and the content pane displays the parameters of the selected session policy.
  4. In the application pane, click Add.
    STEP RESULT:
    The system displays the Session Policy window.
  5. In the Policy Name field, enter a name that describes the purpose of the new policy.
  6. Click Next.
    STEP RESULT:
    The system displays another Session Policy window.
  7. Select the Media Anchoring check box.
  8. Select the Recording Server check box.
  9. In the Recording Profile field, select a recording profile that you have administered in Configuring one or more recording profiles and assigning the recording profile to a routing profile.
  10. Select the Optimize Hairpin Calls check box to optimize SIPREC sessions on Hairpin calls.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    By default:
    • This field is disabled for new session policy.
    • This field is enabled for an existing session policy after Avaya SBC upgrade or migration.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Click Finish.
