Configuring Avaya SBC for HA deployment using CLI

Before you begin
  • Ensure that the EMS server is functional and in the same network as Avaya SBC.
  • Ensure that both Avaya SBCs in the HA pair are installed and functional.
  1. Log in to the primary Avaya SBC device.
  2. Edit the cli_sbce_config.sample file in the following folder: usr/local/ipcs/etc.
  3. Remove # from the cli_sbce_config.sample file and modify the respective parameters.
  4. Rename the cli_sbce_config.sample file to cli_sbce_config.
    STEP RESULT:
    Primary and secondary Avaya SBCs are added to the EMS server in a commissioned state.
    Note:
    Do not change any configurations for secondary Avaya SBC when configuring Avaya SBC for HA deployment using CLI.
  5. Check the cli_sbce_config file for successful configuration of Avaya SBC.
    STEP RESULT:
    If configuration is successful, the cli_sbce_config file is renamed to cli_sbce_config.commissioned.
