Managing LDAP authenticated users in CMS

Last Updated : Apr 28, 2024 |

About this task

When you install the LDAP authentication feature, the system presents a new LDAP Authentication field in the User Permissions: User Data screen to configure LDAP authentication. An LDAP authenticated user is a regular CMS user, except that the CMS login is authenticated with the password configured on the LDAP directory server.

Before you begin

Install the LDAP feature package if not already installed. Turn on the CMS

Procedure

  1. Log in to the CMS as a user that is an administrator.
  2. Go to User Permission  > User Data.
  3. View, add, modify users as needed.
    Note:

Users that are added or modified for LDAP Authentication but are not configured on the Active Directory server will be successfully added. The user will not be able to log on to CMS since it cannot be authenticated.
