Before you begin setting up the network for LAN connections, do the following tasks:
Verify that you are logged on as root.
Important:
You cannot directly log on as root from a remote connection. You must log on using an administered CMS user ID, then use su - root to log on with root privileges.
Verify that the CMS software is turned off and the IDS software is on.
Verify that all file systems are mounted.
Verify that Avaya Aura® Communication Manager 6.0 or later is installed.
