Starting up CMS on a virtual machine

About this task

Start the virtual machine and CMS. Do this after you have done maintenance on the virtual system hardware.

Procedure

Depending on the type of platform hosting the virtual machines, do one of the following:

  • If running on a VMware host platform, do the following:

    1. Open a browser to the vSphere vCenter host URL, and log in.

    2. Click Hosts and Clusters or VMs and Templates.

    3. In the left pane, select the CMS virtual machine.

    4. Click Actions, and select Power On.

  • If running on a KVM host platform, do the following:

    1. Open a browser to the KVM hypervisor, and log in.

    2. Click Virtual machines.

    3. To display the CMS virtual machine details, click the name of the CMS virtual machine.

    4. To start the virtual machine, click Run.
