When you remove an ACD, the system reassigns all users from the removed ACD to the master ACD. Tenant users assigned to only the removed ACD will not be able to access CMS until they are reassigned to a new ACD.
Important:
You cannot remove the master ACD. If you want to remove an ACD that is currently designated as the master ACD, you must designate another ACD as the master ACD.
Procedure
Log in to the CMS server with root privileges.
To log in as root from a remote connection, you must log in using an CMS user ID, then enter su - root to log on with root privileges
Enter cmsadm. The system displays the administration menu.
Turn off the CMS software:
Select run_cms.
Select Enter the number to turn off the CMS software.
Enter the number associated with the acd_remove option.
Enter the number (1-7) of the ACD you want to remove. The system displays the following message:
All administration and historical data for this ACD will be DELETED.
Do you want to continue and delete all data for this ACD? (y/n):
Enter: Y. The system displays the following message:
Removal of data for this ACD started in the background.
A completion message will be logged in /cms/install/logdir/admin.log.
Since the ACD is removed in the background, you can turn the CMS software on before the removal is complete.
Restart the CMS software:
Enter the number associated with the run_cms option.
