Each command consists of an action, an object on which the action is performed, and the required or optional qualifiers that modify the command. For example, in the test station extension [ short | long ] command:
You can abbreviate command words. The system recognizes a partially entered word when you type enough letters to distinguish the command from other valid entries. For example, you can type the test alarms long clear command as t al l c.
If you do not type enough letters, the screen displays a list of command words and qualifiers that match the abbreviation.
You can drop the leading zeroes from numeric entries. For example, you can type the cabinet number 03 as 3.
Press the HELP key to display the available commands and all valid qualifiers of the command.
The length of the hardware location differs for the various types of commands:
