Syntax
Use the change media-server command to change the media server values in Communication Manager.
change media-server xxx

is integer range from 1–250. It indicates the media server is to be changed. If an argument X is for a media server that has not been added, then error message “X identifier not assigned” is displayed.

Description |
Signaling Group |
Identifies the signaling-group used by Communication Manager to communicate with the specific media server. The specific signaling-group must be of SIP type and peer server must be of Avaya Aura® Media Server. The signaling-group number cannot be assigned to another media server. The signaling group number is from 1 to 999. |
VoIP Channel License Limit |
Represents the maximum number of VoIP channel licenses, which can be used on this media server. The field represents an upper limit and must be populated with a value 1 to 9999 or can be left blank. Blank means there is no upper limit on the number of VoIP channels that can be used on the server. |
Node Name |
Identifies the Node Name of the media server, which is obtained from the far-end Node Name of the signaling group form. This is a read only field. |
Network Region |
Identifies the Network Region of the media server, which is obtained from the Far-end Network Region field of the associated Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) signaling-group. This is a read only field. |
Location |
Displays the location obtained from the Network Region form. This is a read only field. |
Announcement Storage Area |
Displays where the announcements used on a specific Communication Manager are stored. Another Communication Manager, which shares a specific media server displays a different Announcement Storage Area. |
Dedicated VoIP Channel Licenses |
Represents the number of VoIP channel licenses, which are dedicated to the media server. The field must be populated with a value from 1 to 9999. A value of blank shows that no licenses are dedicated to this media server. |
