setCMAide

Last Updated : Apr 04, 2018 |

Syntax

Run the following commands as a super-user:

setCMAide <enabled|disabled>

Description

Enable the setCMAide to configure the Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment (AIDE) to generate a report every night for any modified system files. When the setCMAide is enabled, a cron job is set up that will run every night to check the system state. Additionally, the initial AIDE database is also created to provide a base to compare against for the system state check. When the setCMAide is disabled, AIDE is turned off. Results are sent to /var/log/messages.
