Syntax

Use the list media-server command to list all the administered media servers in Communication Manager.

list media-server  [starting media-server number] [count]
starting media-server number
starting number of media-server in the list.
count
number of media-server in the list.

Field

Description

Num

The media-server number (1-250)

Sig-grp

Represents the SIP signaling group, which is used to connect with a specific media server.

Node-name

Represents a 15 character node-name, which is the node-name of the specific Avaya Aura® Media Server.

VoIP Channel License Limit

Represents a limit on the number of media channels that can be simultaneously established on this AMS. The field represents an upper limit, a limit on the number of media channels that can be simultaneously established on Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS). The field must be populated with a value from 1 to 9999 or left blank.

Blank indicates no limit.

Dedicated VoIP Channel Licenses

The number of channel licenses that can be used by only the specific media-server.

VoIP Chls In-Use

The number of media server connections that are currently active.

NetRgn

The Far-End Network Region of the SIP signaling Group (1-250).

State

The current state of the media server as determined by Communication Manager. The current values are:

  • Out-of-Service (OOS): Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) is Out-of-Service because the associated SIP signaling group is unable to ping Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS), or the signaling group is busied out.

  • In-service (INS): Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) is in-service and fully functional and available for the establishment of audio channels.

  • Locked (LOCK): Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) is locked through Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) Element Manager (EM). No sessions are established when Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) is in the LOCK state. Use Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) EM to unlock this media-server.

  • Pending-lock (PLOCK): Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) is placed into pending-lock through Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) EM. Existing sessions remain active, however, no new sessions are created on Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) by Communication Manager.

  • Pending In-Service (PINS): Avaya Aura® Media Server (MS) has not obtained license from WebLM server, the Communication Manager displays PINS state.

  • Not-Applicable (N/A): This state means that Communication Manager is not attempting to contact a specific media server. This state is only applicable for survivable processors.

    Note:

    The Main server attempts to contact all Media servers.

  • Auto Disabled (AD): In an automatically disabled network region.

  • Region Disabled (RD): In a manually disabled network region by system administrator.
