Replying to emails

About this task

You can reply to emails from the Email widget.

The email widget displays the updated user interface. To enable the new user interface for the email widget, contact your administrator.

Procedure

  1. In Avaya Workspaces, click the Email icon.

    Avaya Workspaces displays the customer's email details with the Digital Library widget.

  2. Click the Reply icon to reply to the sender of the email or the Reply All icon to reply to all recipients in the email thread.
  3. In the Subject field, type the subject of the email.

    You must enter a maximum of 256 characters in the Subject field.

  4. In the To field, enter the email address.

    Long email addresses are truncated to fit into the address field. To view a full email address, hover over it.

    You can also copy and paste one or several email addresses.

  5. In the body of the email, do the following:
    1. Type the message of the reply.
    2. Optional To use an email template, click Email to select the required template from the Digital Library widget.
    3. Optional To add a predefined email signature, click the Signature icon.

    The email editor supports various formatting, such as font style, font color, font size, bulleted and numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold, italics, strikethrough, and underline texts, quoted text, text alignment, tables, indents and outdents, and horizontal lines.

    The email editor also supports spell-check, which is limited to identifying incorrect spelling with a visual indication of a misspelled word.

  6. To send the email and close the email interaction card, click Send.
  7. Optional To send the email and keep the work card option for later, next to the Send button, click the Down icon > Send and Retain.
