Split registrations occur when resources in one network region are registered with different servers. Split registrations occur when a system malfunction activates survivable servers, telephones register with the main server, and gateways register with the survivable server. The survivable server is a survivable remote server (SRS) or a survivable core server (SCS). The telephones registered with the main server are isolated from the trunk and VoIP resources.
