For certain newer telephones with expanded text label display capabilities, you can customize feature button labels to accept up to 13 alphanumeric characters. For more information about this feature, see the Increasing Text Fields for Feature Buttons section.
  6. Press Enter to save your changes.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Some telephones have default assignments for buttons. For example, the 8411D includes defaults for 12 softkey buttons. It already has assignments for features such as Leave Word Calling and Call Forwarding. If you do not use an alias, you can assign different features to these buttons for various requirements. If you use an alias, you must leave the default softkey button assignments. When you change the button assignments on the Station screen, the feature buttons work on the alias telephone, but the labels on the telephone display do not change.
