Avaya Breeze platform alarm overview

Last Updated : Aug 10, 2020 |

Avaya Breeze® platform provides a virtualized and secure application platform where workflow developers and Java programmers can develop and dynamically deploy advanced collaboration capabilities. These capabilities extend the power of Avaya Aura®, Avaya Oceana®, and Avaya Professional Services custom development. Customers, Business Partners, and Avaya developers can use Avaya Breeze® platform to deploy snap-ins.

Avaya Breeze® platform requires Secure Access Link (SAL) for remote access and for sending alarms to Avaya. A SAL gateway must be installed in the customer’s enterprise for Avaya Services remote access. For more information, see Avaya Aura System Manager support for alarms. Avaya Breeze® platform also supports SNMP and you can create SNMP user and target profiles and attach the profiles to Serviceability Agent.

For steps on how to troubleshoot issues when alarms are not raised by the Avaya Breeze® platform node, see Alarms are not raised for a node.

You can configure alarming on System Manager for Avaya Breeze® platform nodes. After you have completed the configuration, the Cluster Administration and Server Administration pages in System Manager display alarms for the configured Avaya Breeze® platform nodes.

Reliable Eventing Framework provides a new mechanism for delivering messages. The current Eventing Framework uses Collaboration Bus as a point-to-point delivery mode for intra-node asynchronous events with high performance. The Reliable Eventing Framework adopts Apache ActiveMQ, which provides reliability, asynchronous events, inter-node, and inter-cluster capabilities, which are not available in Eventing Framework. For information about configuring Reliable Eventing on System Manager, see Administering Avaya Breeze® platform. For information about Reliable Eventing Framework maintenance tests, see Running Reliable Eventing Framework maintenance tests. The process for troubleshooting Reliable Eventing Dashboard errors or warnings is the same as the process of troubleshooting Avaya Breeze® platform alarms.
