Virtual machine hangs after you reboot

The virtual machine hangs when you start the virtual machine. The system displays an error message that a route table cannot be found.

Cause

Issues with library time synchronization causes the virtual machine to hang on initial reboot.

Solution

Procedure

Rename libtimeSync.so to a name of your choice.

You can locate the libtimeSync.co file at:

  • /usr/lib/vmware-tools/plugins32/vmsvc/libtimeSync.so

  • /usr/lib/vmware-tools/plugins64/vmsvc/libtimeSync.so

Note:

This action does not affect the NTP settings as NTP starts and synchronizes after the reboot.
