This section provides details for creating SNMP User and Target profiles, and attaching the profiles to Serviceability Agents.
Avaya Breeze® platform requires Secure Access Link (SAL) for alarming. A SAL Gateway must be installed in the customer’s enterprise.
The Serviceability Agent is an enhanced version of the SAL agent for alarming and forwarding logs. The Serviceability Agent sends SNMP v2 and SNMP v3 traps to System Manager, the SAL Gateway, and other configured Network Management System (NMS) destinations.
The Manage Serviceability Agents page has four sub-pages:
SNMPv3 User Profiles: Establish and manage SNMP v3 user accounts. These accounts are used for SNMP v3 traps/informs and SNMP v3 queries of the SNMP master agent.
SNMP Target Profiles: SNMP trap/inform destinations for System Manager, SAL Gateway, and customer NMS destinations. The profile setup supports both SNMP v2 and SNMP v3.
SNMP Serviceability Agents: Manage serviceability agents that are registered with the System Manager agent manager. The System Manager hostname is automatically included in the list of agents.
Notification Filter Profile: Manage filter profiles and assign the profiles to the target and serviceability agent pair. See Administering Avaya Aura® System Manager for more information.
Perform the following procedures in the order that they are presented to set up alarming for Avaya Breeze® platform.
