Troubleshooting the Cluster Database status

Last Updated : Apr 26, 2023 |

Condition

The Cluster Administration page displays the cluster database status as Red, which indicates that the database failed.

Solution

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Avaya Breeze® platform instance as an administrator.
  2. Do the following to verify the connectivity to the host:
    1. Ping virtualHaDbMaster from all the nodes in the cluster.
    2. Ping EdpHaDbMaster from all the nodes in the cluster.
    3. Correct all network connectivity issues.

The DNAT address of virtualHaDbMaster is 192.11.13.200.

    Contact Avaya Support: https://support.avaya.com if:

    • virtualHaDbMaster or EdpHaDbMaster is unknown to the host.

    • the cluster database status does not revert to Green.

  3. Check the following logs for errors:
    • /var/log/Avaya/sm/clusterdb.log: Contains the cluster database control, backup, and restore scripts and periodic records of the cluster database status.

    • /var/log/Avaya/db/postgresql-*.log: Contains records of the cluster database postgres process.

    • /var/avaya/hadb/update.log and pgstartup.log: Contains the update and start up records of the cluster database process.

    • /var/log/Avaya/jboss/SessionManager/hadbarbiter.log: Contains records of the cluster database arbiter.
