 |
1. |
Plan when to perform the Avaya Solutions Platform upgrade. |
A full maintenance window is required to complete this upgrade of the ASP130. |
|
2. |
Back up the cluster database. |
If the cluster database is enabled, take a backup. See Backing up a cluster database. |
|
3. |
Set the Breeze cluster or nodes affected to deny new services and gracefully power off each node. |
See Preparing Breeze nodes for ESXi maintenance. |
|
4. |
Upgrade the ASP130. |
For the ASP130 servers, Avaya provides ESXi upgrade files and instructions which you must use. Refer to the Avaya Solutions Platform files and documentation available from https://support.avaya.com. |
|
5. |
Power on the Breeze nodes and confirm their condition. |
Power on each node using the vSphere Web Client.
|
|
6. |
Reboot the Breeze cluster |
Some solutions require a cluster reboot after all Breeze nodes are back online. Consult the solution documentation for more information.
|
|
7. |
Set the nodes back to accept new service. |
See Accepting new service after ESXi maintenance. |
|
8. |
(Optional) If the Breeze virtual machine is not up and running. |
Perform a fresh deployment of Avaya Breeze® platform, using the same version as installed before the Avaya Solutions Platform 130 Appliance upgrade. After Breeze initializes and completes replication:
Restore any required System Manager signed or third-party certificates.
Restore the cluster database backup taken at step 2. See Restoring the cluster database.
A reboot of the Breeze cluster is recommended after certification installation and cluster database restoration is complete. See Rebooting the Breeze clusters after ESXi maintenance.
