Call transfer

Prolog information
You can transfer an active call onto another destination number. You can perform two types of call transfers:
  • Consultative transfer: Establish a call with the recipient to notify them before transferring the call.
  • Blind transfer: Transfer the call directly to the recipient without connecting with them beforehand.

Performing a blind transfer

Transfer an active call directly to another number. In a direct transfer, also known as a blind or unattended transfer, you cannot notify the recipient before the transfer occurs.
  1. During an active call, tap Advanced call options.
  2. Tap Call transfer icon.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Tap Enter a number and then enter the recipient's phone number.
    • Tap Choose a Person and then select the recipient from your Contacts or Call History list.
  4. Tap Transfer.
    STEP RESULT:
    The call transfer is complete.

Performing a consultative transfer

Prolog information
Transfer an active call to a recipient after establishing a call with them to notify them about the transfer.
  1. During an active call, tap Advanced call options.
  2. Tap New Call.
    STEP RESULT:
    places the first call on hold and displays the Dial pad screen.
  3. Do one of the following to call the recipient:
    • Enter the recipient's phone number.
    • Select the recipient from your Contacts or Call History list.
  4. After the recipient answers the call, tap Advanced call options and then Call transfer icon.
  5. Select the on-hold call to initiate the transfer.
  6. Tap Transfer.
    STEP RESULT:
    The call transfer is complete.
