Prolog information
This chapter describes how to log in and out of Avaya Vantage™ built-in UC experience. It also describes lock and unlock operations on the Avaya Vantage™ device.
Depending on the deployment environment and settings that the administrator configures, you can log in to the Avaya Vantage™ built-in UC experience by using one of the following two types of login credentials:
  • SIP credentials.
  • Enterprise user credentials from Avaya Aura® Device Services. This option is applicable only in the Avaya Aura® environment.
The Avaya Vantage™ device by default displays the Android Home screen after a start-up unless you set a lock screen password. To use the Avaya Vantage™ built-in UC experience, you can log in from the Home screen.
Your administrator can configure the Avaya Vantage™ device to show the platform login screen after a start-up. In the platform login mode, you can access the Home screen only when your login using SIP or unified credentials is successful.
When you use enterprise user credentials from Avaya Aura® Device Services to log in to the built-in UC experience, the device notifies you if your user password changes.
Note:
To change the user extension or log in with different credentials on a previously used device, reset the device before logging in with the new user information. Resetting the device ensures that all previous user data is deleted.
You can configure your device to automatically lock after a period of inactivity using the Screen Lock feature. You can manage this feature from Security in the Settings menu.
You can also enable Avaya Smart Lock, which automatically unlocks the device and, if configured, logs you in when you are within range while carrying a trusted Bluetooth device. When the trusted Bluetooth device goes out of range, the Avaya Vantage™ device is locked and logged out automatically. You can change or remove the configured trusted device anytime.
