Logging in to the Calendar service

Last Updated : May 03, 2024 |
Prolog information
Avaya Vantage™ built-in Unified Communication (UC) experience can access your Microsoft Exchange Calendar information. This information is displayed in the Calendar tab.
You might need to log in to the Microsoft Exchange service manually or be logged in automatically, depending on how your administrator sets up the service. For example, if your administrator enables the Microsoft Modern authentication mechanism, the Calendar tab takes you to a web page for entering your Microsoft Exchange credentials.
Use this procedure to log in to the Microsoft Exchange server manually.
Note:
If you log out of Avaya Vantage™ built-in UC experience and then log in again, you are not automatically logged in to your Exchange calendar. You must log in to your calendar service again.
  1. If the Calendar tab is not available on Avaya Vantage™, do the following to enable the Calendar tab:
    1. In Avaya Vantage™ built-in UC experience, tap ExtensionUser Settings.
    2. Tap Application.
    3. Enable Exchange Calendar.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
If you do not see this option, contact your administrator for assistance.
  2. Tap the Calendar tab.
  3. On the Calendar Login screen, enter the following information:
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    • Username: Your Microsoft Exchange user account ID.
    • Password: Your Microsoft Exchange user password.
    • Domain: The Microsoft Exchange server domain to which Avaya Vantage™ built-in UC experience must register.
      For example: avaya.com
    • Server Address: The IP address or FQDN of the Microsoft Exchange server if required. You might not need this information to log in.
      For example: usmail.avaya.com
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The availability of these fields depends on how your administrator sets up the service.
  4. Tap Connect.
    STEP RESULT:
If you correctly enter your Microsoft Exchange account details, Avaya Vantage™ built-in UC experience connects to your Exchange Calendar and displays your calendar events on the Calendar tab.
If the fields for Microsoft Exchange login are unavailable on the Calendar Login screen, tapping the Connect button takes you to a web page to enter your Microsoft Exchange credentials.
  5. If you are redirected to the Microsoft Sign-in web page, proceed to enter your account details and complete the verification process.
