Editing the subject of an instant messaging conversation

By default, a new conversation displays the other participant's name as the conversation title. When you add a subject to the conversation, the conversation screen displays the entered subject as the conversation title in place of the participant name. The Messages tab also displays the entered subject as the conversation title instead of the participant name. The conversation participant sees the new subject at their end.
Use this procedure to add a subject or edit the existing subject of an instant messaging conversation.
Before you begin
Open the conversation.
  1. On the conversation screen, to open the More menu, tap More menu next to the participant name.
  2. Tap Edit Subject.
  3. Type a new subject, and tap Done.
    STEP RESULT:
    The conversation screen displays the new subject as the conversation title in place of the participant name or the previous subject.
