Using the Malicious Call Identification (MCID) feature, you can connect to an ETSI ISDN network and request the network to identify and record the source of an incoming call. If you are connected to a public ISDN that has the MCID feature enabled for you, then a Communication Manager server can notify the public network about the malicious call. The public ISDN uses one of the following protocols:
ETSI: EN 300 130
Australia: TPH1856
The MCT History form records in the ISDN Notification field whether the public ISDN was notified, and whether an acknowledgement was received. Recording a malicious call requires an Aux trunk, which can only be configured in a Media Gateway.
