Day & Time of Referral

The day and time at which the threshold value exceeded the short hold time or reached the long hold time, and the system made a referral call. The value of this field is in the format: day/hour:minute

The report lists all referral calls beginning with the most recent or the most recent 64 calls. A referral call is completed if the call is answered. The system tries an unanswered call again at the top of the next hour and each subsequent hour until the call is answered or a new ACA call is received.

Trunk Group No.

The number of the trunk group over which the system makes the referral call.

Trunk Access Code

The trunk access code for the trunk group.

Trunk Member

The specific trunk in the group that has the short or long holding time infraction. You can use this information, with other maintenance tests, to identify the location of the trunk group member. For wideband trunk groups, the number shown is the lowest numbered trunk used in the wideband call.

Type of Referral

The referral that is the result of too many short holding time calls or an excessively long holding time call.

Usually, a referral call serves as a warning of potential trunk failures. In addition, an excessively long holding call might indicate a security breach. Depending on local arrangements, you must alert the maintenance personnel or the agency responsible for problem resolution if the system has not already sent an alert.

Wideband Flag

The status of Wideband Support. If the call was a wideband call, the system displays W next to the entry. In addition, for any wideband calls on the report, the system displays the tag W = Wideband Support in the report heading.

Note:

For wideband calls that consume more than 64 kbps bandwidth, the Automatic Circuit Assurance Measurements report only shows the B-channel with the lowest number. In addition, the system displays W next to the entries that pertain to referral calls associated with wideband facilities. If the Automatic Circuit Assurance Measurements report contains entries for referral calls pertaining to wideband facilities, the system appends W = Wideband Support to the report title.
