This procedure outlines the steps to create an announcement-only extensions on Avaya Cloud Office™. These extensions play recorded messages for callers. You can also use these extensions to make internal announcements related to company news, upcoming events, or holiday closures.
Important:
Select an extension number to follow the internal numbering plan.
On the Admin Portal homepage, click Phone SystemGroupsAnnouncement-Only Extensions.
At the top-right corner, click New Announcement-Only Extension.
On the Add Announcement-Only Extension window, select the site and enter the details into the extension name and extension number fields.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Avaya Cloud Office™ sends an email to the user managing the announcement-only extension to activate the extension.
