You can assign a phone number or a device to a limited extension after creating it. If an existing phone is applied to the limited extension, you must configure it.
On the Admin Portal home page, click Phone SystemGroupsLimited Extensions.
Click the limited extension to configure.
To assign a phone number, on the extension tab, click Device & Numbers, and click Add Direct Number.
From the Number Type list, select the appropriate number type and click Next.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Select between local, toll-free, and vanity numbers.
To view the details of the selected device, click the Phone tab.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
You can configure the phone nickname, phone type, and number.
To configure an existing phone, click EditSetup & Provision.
Follow the instructions on the Setup & Provisioning window to activate the limited extension phone.
