ip rip authentication key

Sets the authentication string used on the current interface. Use no ip rip authentication key to clear the password.

Syntax

ip rip authentication key password

no ip rip authentication key

To set the authentication string on the VLAN 1 interface to hush-hush:

Gxxx-001(if:Vlan 1)# ip rip authentication key hush-hush
