Name

Description

CM

The name of Communication Manager associated with the announcement.

Extension

Enter the phone extension to assign to the announcement.

Location

The location associated with the announcement.

Org Unit

The organization unit associated with the announcement.

Public Resource

Indicates that the resource is public. The following are the options:

  • Yes

  • No

Annc Name

Name of the announcement.

The audio file name populates in the announcement name field. If you have already entered a name in the announcement name field, then the audio file name overrides the value in the announcement name field.

Template

Select an announcement template.

Annc Type

The type of announcements. The options are the following:
  • integ-mus: Integrated music type.

  • integ-rep: Integrated repeating type.

  • integrated: A special integrated announcement circuit pack stored internally. Use this for general announcements and VDN of Origin Announcements.

COR

The class of restriction associated with the announcement.

TN

Tenant number.

Queue

The announcement queue.

If you select the announcement type as integ-mus, bargein is selected by default. Bargein enables callers to barge in or interrupt. It indicates that you can connect callers to the announcement at any time while the announcement is played.

If you select the announcement type as integ-rep or integrated, then the following options are populated:
  • Yes: Indicates that the request is placed in a queue when all ports on the circuit pack are busy. The announcement is played when a port becomes available. Set the Queue field to Yes for Call Center applications.

  • No: Indicates that the announcement is not played if a port is unavailable.

  • bargein: Indicates that you can connect callers to the announcement at any time while the announcement is playing. However, with Yes or No, the caller is always connected to the beginning of the announcement.

Source

Type the identifier for the Media Server device.

Enter one of the following values:

  • The location of the TN2501AP circuit pack.

    For more information about TN2501AP, see Avaya Aura® Communication Manager Feature Description and Implementation.

  • gggv9 for Branch Gateway v VAL sources, where ggg is the number of the gateway.

  • mx for Media Server, where x is the Media Server number.

  • nn, where nn ranges between 1 to 50 and is the audio group number of the locally sourced announcement or locally sourced Music-on-Hold group.

Protected

Set as the protection mode for an integrated announcement. Select Yes to protect the recording. You cannot delete or change the recording through a telephone session or FTP to another destination.

Live Stream Source

The option to stream music on hold live from an external source.

This field is enabled only when you select the announcement type as integ-mus or integ-rep.

Rate

Select a recording rate speed for the announcement. If the VAL board is administered on the circuit packs form, 64 (64 kbps) is automatically selected.

This field is disabled when you enter a media server value in Source.
