To play an announcement to a caller when a call is on hold or in a queue, add an announcement. Admin Portal supports audio files at a maximum of 10 MB in size in .wav format.
Procedure
From Admin Portal, go to Resources > Announcement.
On the Announcement page, click Add.
Admin Portal displays the Add Announcement dialog box.
Enter the required configuration details.
Leave Announcement Name field empty as the Audio File name overrides the Announcement Name.
In the Template field, select the required template.
To upload an audio file, click Choose File, browse the audio file on your computer, and click Open.
Note:
The audio file name populates in the announcement name field. If you have already entered a name in the announcement name field, then the audio file name overrides the value in the announcement name field.
Encode audio as 16 bit, 8 kHz, single channel, and PCM files. If you use codecs other than PCM or use higher sampling rates for higher quality recordings, there is a decrease in performance. Multiple channels such as stereo are not supported.
