Incoming call on a bridged appearance key

Last Updated : Feb 28, 2020 |
Prolog information
The bridged appearance copies call appearance of one phone or X-port to another phone line appearance, which provides information about source phone’s calls status on another phone.
The bridged appearance feature in Avaya Aura® Call Center Elite is similar to MADN multiple call appearance key in CS 1000. The bridged appearance key can support CS 1000 Single Call Arrangement (SCA) and Multiple Call Arrangement (MCA) functionality, which depends on the configuration on Avaya Aura® Call Center Elite.
All the supported UNIStim phones support MADN multiple call appearance key.
For example, suppose the administrator assigns ten agents as the priority contact to resolve a specific problem. If an agent is busy or not ready for an incoming call and receives a call, then the agent or the server can transfer the call to the MADN extension. Any other available agent with the MADN bridged appearance can receive the call using the bridged appearance key and resolve the problem.
Bridged appearance key also supports non-ringing, abbreviated ringing, and delayed ringing.
Incoming call on a bridged appearance key does not depend on your login status.
For an incoming call, the icon next to the extension flashes on all the phones with call appearance and bridged appearances configured.
A configured bridged appearance key may be programmed as SCA which allows other agents to bridge-in into the ongoing call, or as MCA which works similar to CS 1000 MCA MADN functionality.
