If you are logged in to your agent phone, you can make outgoing calls only if you are present in one of the following work modes or states:
Available state
Not available state: You are either in aux work mode or in ACW mode.
On a call when the call is on hold: When an ongoing call is on hold, you can make an outgoing call only if a call appearance key is available on the phone to make a new call.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have an idle call appearance key.
If you want to transfer an active call or establish a conference with the ongoing caller then you do not require an idle call appearance key.
Log in as an agent by pressing the programmable feature key for login with your agent ID and agent password (if configured).
Do one of the following:
Press the call appearance key to make an outgoing call.
If you are on an active call, press the transfer or conference soft key to initiate transfer or conference.
If you are on an active call and the call is on hold, press the idle call appearance key to make an outgoing call.
Dial the number of your contact from the dial pad.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
If the called party is available and answers the call, an active call is established between you and the called party.
To cancel a transfer or conference and return to the original call, press the line appearance button.
Next steps
Press the Release button or place the handset on hook to end an active call.
