Redirecting incoming calls when the Presence status is set as Do Not Disturb

Last Updated : Sep 16, 2020 |
Prolog information
Use the Send All Calls (SAC) feature to redirect all incoming calls to a predefined extension when the Presence status is set to Do Not Disturb (DND) on your extension. Device Adapter does not support changing the Presence status to and from DND. However, you can change your status to DND on an Avaya Aura® SIP phone and later log in to the Device Adapter phone by using Sequential Registration.
On the Device Adapter phone, you can activate or deactivate the Send All Calls (SAC) feature when the Presence status is set to DND. But, you cannot change the already set Presence status (DND in this case) on the Device Adapter phone. However, you can sequentially log in to an Avaya Aura® SIP phone and change the Presence status.
Avaya recommends that you always change your Presence status to Available before registering to any other phone. For more information, see the Using Avaya 9608/9608G/9611G IP Deskphones SIP document.
Before you begin
Ensure that:
  • The current Presence status for your extension is DND.
  • The administrator has programmed send-calls on one of the programmable feature keys or on the expansion module.
  1. Log in as an agent by pressing the programmable feature key for login with your agent ID and agent password (if configured).
  2. Press the send-calls key to redirect all calls to a predefined destination extension.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
If the predefined destination extension answers the call, the call is established between the caller and the configured destination extension.
If the destination extension is busy, then depending on the configuration, the call will either be routed to the voice mail or will not be completed.
When you change your status from DND to any other status, then the SAC feature is disabled automatically and the active icon of the send-calls feature button is no longer available on the screen. On a CS 1000 phone, you can press the send-calls button to disable this feature.
