Unified Communications features that are supported on call center phones

Last Updated : Feb 27, 2020 |
Prolog information
A system administrator might configure your phone either as a Unified Communications (UC) phone or as a call center (CC) phone.
The system administrator configures your phone as a CC phone, then Device Adapter provides call center-specific features and capabilities to the phone when you log in to the phone as a Call Center Elite agent. When you log out from the phone, the phone operates as a UC phone.
All features that work on the UC phone also work on the CC phone. However, the usage of the features differ depending on the type of the user.. For example, you can use the Park and Page feature on a UC phone, but if you log in to the phone as a Call Center Elite agent, you cannot park an ACD or a DAC call.
Another difference between a UC phone and a CC phone is the way in which the administrator assigns the programmable feature keys. The administrator programs the feature keys according to the type of the user and the user login status.
For a CC phone, the user can be a Call Center Elite agent or supervisor. For a UC phone, the user can be a system administrator or any other user using the UC phone.
A CC phone must have the required display capabilities, feature keys, and key expansion modules to support the CC features.
