Auxiliary Work

Prolog information
An Auxiliary (Aux) work mode indicates that you are logged in as a call center agent without a specified call handling work mode, and are not performing after-call work for the last call. In an Aux work mode, you are not available to receive incoming call center calls.
You can use the Aux work mode for reasons such as to take a lunch break.
You can activate the Auxiliary Work mode in one of the following ways:
  • When you log in to the phone and are not automatically placed in the Auto-in or Manual-in work mode, the Auxiliary work mode icon next to the Aux work button becomes active. New incoming calls are not routed to your phone until you change the mode to Auto-In or Manual-In again.
    Note:
The default mode after you log in is Auxiliary work mode, but the system administrator can change the default mode to Auto-in or Manual-in.
  • Press the Aux work button either after ending the call or while on the call.
    • If you press the Aux work button while on the call, the Auxiliary Work icon flashes to indicate pending Auxiliary work mode. The work mode changes to Auxiliary work and the Auxiliary work icon becomes active only after you end the call. New incoming calls are not routed to your phone until you change the mode to Auto-In or Manual-In again. If a Reason code is required to switch the mode to Auxiliary work, enter the Reason code.
    • If you press the Aux work button after ending the call, the mode changes to Auxiliary work and the Auxiliary work icon becomes active. New incoming calls are not routed to your phone until you change the mode to Auto-In or Manual-In again. If a Reason code is required to switch the mode to Auxiliary work, enter the Reason code.
  • If Call Center Elite changes your mode to Auxiliary work mode, the Auxiliary work icon becomes active. New incoming calls are not routed to your phone until you change the mode to Auto-In or Manual-In again.
